eGovernment Research

The provision and use of government websites has grown very significantly in recent years. Central government must ensure that this online presence is both effective and efficient, providing high quality services and information for citizens at a reasonable cost.

In this group project, our team is going to develop a method which evaluates the benefit from eGovernment of South Australia. We decided to go through the method which other countries are using. By combining these methods, we can find one which meet SA eGovernment's demand.

We can't evaluate a thing without knowing it. We spent days to analyze the services provided by the SA eGovernment website. Here is the list:

You can imagine that how hard it will be to evaluate a website which provides services across such a wide range. Therefore, we turned to find methods which have been used by other countries.

     https://update.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/resource-library/websitemetrics2010-11
This website provides comprehensive perspectives how UK government evaluate their return of investment on website, including cost, usage and quality. We choose this as the first reference because UK has more similarity with Australia than other countries do.

We are still working on it, and finding more reference.
